Frequently Asked Questions:
We have collected some of the most asked questions and compiled them for your convenience
Q: Do your soaps contain lye?
A: Our soaps contain absolutely no lye. Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) is used to produce soaps, of course, but there is certainly no lye left after saponification. So rest assured; our products DO NOT contain lye. And that's no lie ;)
Q: Do you mass-produce your products?
A: Our products are handcrafted in small batches to ensure quality at all times. We rather make less product then to sacrifice the quality our customers are used to
Q: Is your soap made using Melt-and-Pour Bases?
A: No. Our Soaps are made from scratch using the cold- and / or hot-process method
Q:How long do you cure your soap?
A:All our soaps are cured for a minimum of 4 weeks after manufacturing. We would never sell you any soap that hasn't had a proper curing time. Curing the soap properly will make it much milder and will also make it harder and longer lasting.
Q:How big are your soaps?
A:Our soaps weigh an average of 120 grams (unless otherwise stated) but mostly they are heavier. All bars are handcut, so some slight differences are normal.
Q:Are your products vegan?
A:Thank you for bringing this up. Most products are vegan friendly but to make your selection easier, all vegan friendly items have been marked with the vegan graphic
Q: Can I pay in US Currency?
A: All our prices are in Canadian Dollars, but you can view a currency converter here. We'd also like to mention that our prices are extremely compatible. Did you know, that 1 Canadian Dollar is only approx. 80 cents US at this time?
Q: Do you have a retail store?
A: Not yet, but hopefully in the future. In the meantime, check this page to find out where else you can buy our products
Q: How soon do you ship?
A: We have decided to do more for the environment. Apart from using as many recycled boxes for shipping as possible, we are now shipping only twice a week. Instead of driving to the postoffice every day to send of packages, we now will be sending them off Mondays and Thursdays only unless we head into town anyway. This probably won't make all that much of a difference to the environment, but if everyone does just a little bit, it will make a big impact on the global gas consumption.
Q: Do you ship all across the globe?
A: Yes and No. Normally we do ship all over the world. If, however, the IP address where the order comes from is not consistent with the shipping destination and / or credit card information we do take the liberty of refusing shipment. We will refuse shipment of any products if we suspect any kind of credit card fraud.
